The Holinski family is sending you much love, prayers, and strength during this difficult time. Cherish your many great memories and hold them close to your heart. Joe and I have a great memory I want to share. After speaking to Bill at Ron’s 65 birthday a few years ago he was telling us that he was going to be on the Canadian pickers show. We kept checking but never was able to catch the show. While vacationing in Switzerland this last spring and searching out Canadian speaking TV show low and behold on pops Bill on the Canadian pickers. It will be a memory we will hold even closer now that we had to travel all the way to Switzerland to see Bill on the this show. I hope this little memory and the many more your have and will receive will bring you peace in knowing how many lives Bill touched in his short time here on earth. Big hugs.

Mrs. Hominiuk, Brianna & Landon,
My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your husband & dad. Although I did not know Bill personally, I heard what a wonderful, kind & generous man he was, very recently donating pews & beautiful decorations for my niece, Karen’s, wedding.
May the love of family & friends help you through this difficult time & through the days ahead. May Bill rest in peace.

Dear Christine, Brianna, and Landon,
We want to convey to you that we are very hurt to hear of the passing away of your cherished and loved husband and father. Our hearts join with your hearts at this time of sorrow and grief.
Bill’s love for the land were among some of his inherent traits. A successful farmer, he was admired and respected by his neighbours and and all who knew him for his diligent hard work. Another passion of Bill’s was his hobby in preserving the heritage and culture of the Ukrainian pioneers. He built a barn to store all his artifacts and collections.
Bill’s spiritual life and belief in God was his strength. He passed his Christian values as well as his friendly and sociable personality to his children Brianna and Landon. You are his pride and joy.
His dedication and continuous support to St. Mary’s Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church were invaluable. His desire was to ensure that the religious faith of our Ukrainian forefathers would continue to grow from generation to generation even as the descendants become less in number. It was as well Bill’s conviction that the beliefs and faith of our ancestors would continue to grow in truth and righteousness.
Bill’s gracious and humble personality will be deeply missed. He has left a honourable legacy and fond memories for his wife and children and community.
Our heartfelt condolences and love,
Brad and Dana, Victoria and Phyllis Basaraba and family.

Sad to hear of Bill’s passing. Condolences to Christine and family from myself and Lillian Natchuk, whose parents were John and Nellie Homenick. My mother was Anna Homenick, whose father was Wasyl Homenick, a brother to the three brothers who moved to the Edmonton area. I had several enjoyable visits with my mother, to Bill’s parents, and the Hominiuk clan. I even went to Bill and Christine’s wedding in 1984. Photo of Ken Fegol and Lil Natchuk at Lil’s 80th birthday

Billy was a childhood friend- always hanging around with my older sisters! He visited our farm often as I was growing up and he was always remarkably kind and considerate. I remember his great sense of humor and that perpetual twinkle in his eyes. The world will be a sadder place without him. Christine, my heart goes out to you and the children. With love, Dianne.
