Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mr. William “Bill” Hominiuk of Hamlin on July 26, 2017 at the age of 67 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Christine; daughter, Brianna; son, Landon; brother, Mike; sister, Katheryna Fiske (Harry Dowhan); mother-in-law, Anna Minailo; aunts, numerous nieces & nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Nick & Mary; 3 brothers, Al (Anne), Metro & John (Mary); sister, Doris (Dave) Chrapko; sister-in-law, Mary M. Homeniuk. Funeral Service Thursday, August 3 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, St. Paul. Reverend Father Peter Haugen & Reverend Father Tim Chrapko officiating. Interment Friday, August 4 at Evergreen Memorial Garden, Edmonton. If desired, donations may be made to STARS or Quiet Nook Community Centre c/o 5626-51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. Sending love and hugs to Aunty Chris, Landon and Brianna. It is with shock and sorrow I write this. Uncle Bill was an amazing man of whom I saw too little of in the past years. He was taken too soon. Hold him and the memories close to your heart, as I will in mine.

Bill was such an interesting, intelligent, honourable, kind, caring, hardworking man who I had the honour of having many conversations with over many, many years. He was a caretaker of the land and of the environment. It would be very hard to find a man more in tune with the world and people around him. My husband Don and I would like to express our condolences to Chris, Landon and Brianna. Know that Bill made a difference in this world. He will be remembered with respect and affection by us and countless others.

I have known Billy and the entire family all my life. Billy rented my Dads farms for 10 years after my Dad retired. He was an excellent farmer and a great friend. Kay and I went to school at Quiet Nook and then high school in Vilna. To the entire family, remember and share all the good times you had with your Husband, Dad, Brother, etc. Rest in peace Bill.
