Obituary
On April 21, 2024 Velma Rose Anderson of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly of Saddle Lake, Alberta, passed away at the age of 70 years. She is survived by her grandsons, Sylvain & Cael Anderson; granddaughter, Shawnte Anderson; 2 sons, Joseph (Sabrina) Anderson & George Anderson; children she also has raised, Dawn (Douglas) Anderson, Rick Anderson & Jesse (Kaia) Anderson; siblings, Theresa (Peter) Jackson, Patsy (Greg) Hysell, Linda Stone, Ron Stone & Lorraine Stone; numerous nieces, nephews, 33 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Velma was predeceased by her father, Frank Anderson (1977); mother, Mary Jane Samson (2009); granddaughter, Angel; daughter-in-law, Crystal Favel; 3 sisters in infancy. A Wake will be held on Wednesday, May 1 (leaving Grace Gardens at 3:00 p.m.) at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake.
