Obituary

Patricia Belle Butcher
of Duvernay Alberta
Words that best describe our sister, our aunt, our teacher are patient, gentle, humble and loving…Words found on the wall in the place where she left us.
Patricia had a brief struggle with lung cancer before being admitted to the Two Hills Health Centre. Patricia passed on November 30th, 2023 at 9:49 am, surrounded by her family. Patricia is predeceased by her sister Frances Wynne Butcher, her father, Lloyd Henry Butcher and her mother, Hermine Maria Butcher (nee Brosseau).
Pat touched many lives as an addictions trainer at Nechi, a social worker both in St. Paul and at the Two Hills Health Centre.  She served family, friends and clients with love, kindness and acceptance, during her personal and professional life. She loved to entertain, was an avid gardener and would welcome visitors at any time.
At Pat’s request, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. We would like to thank the Two Hills Health Centre and Home Care staff for their caring support and kindness during Pat’s brief stay. Her family would also like to thank those who sent prayers and warm thoughts during this difficult time.

From: Tanya Fontaine

I met Pat while I was working as a summer student for social services many years ago. She was solid, and by this I mean she had a calm and accepting way that lifted up those in her presence. My 19 year old self thought she was the coolest. My condolences to the family. I’m sure her gentle spirit lives on in you all.
