Obituary
On May 25, 2024 Mr. Melvin Callingbull of Salt Spring Island, B.C. passed away at the age of 48 years. He is survived by his loving partner, Maeghan Redpath; father, Bruce Cole; sister, Patricia Houle & her children, Alexis, Deanna, Jahnae, Jada & Jalen Job; grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles & cousins. Melvin was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen Houle; & numerous other relatives. A Wake will be held on Friday, June 7 (leaving Grace Gardens at 2:00 p.m.) at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake with interment in Hilltop Cemetery, Goodfish Lake. Melvin was a gentle appreciative man. I wish his spirit peacefulness and I send my sincere wishes for comfort to Maeghan and to his family. May you find comfort in your memories of happy times together…I am so saddened that he is no longer here.
