Obituary
On Monday, December 10, 2018, Mr. John Kissel of Glendon passed away at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his children, Barry (Marilyne), Randy (Crystal), Calvin (Cyndie), Lynn Iorio (Fred Starosielski), Lindy (Greg) Dwan, Brent & Cheryl Wiebe; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews. John was predeceased by his wife, Olga; parents, Dymitro & Sannie; siblings, Mary Chunyk, Bill, Anne Chunyk, Lloyd, Raymond, Cornel & Ronald. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 17 at 10:30 a.m. at RCMP Century Hall, Glendon. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating, with interment in Glendon Community Church Cemetery, Glendon. If desired, donations may be made to Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. To all of the Kissel Family, we send our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dad, Gido. Uncle Johnny held a special place in many people’s hearts. We all know that the singing ranger is singing with all of his family.

Relation: We are from cold lake and attended Pontiac game
To all family members, our sympathies. We met him at Pontiac hockey games and I lovingly called him “Gramps” . He said he was honoured to have me call him that. Every time pontiacs scored we would turn to each other and give the high five. I actually called him up on the phone and spoke to him a little over a week ago. I was honoured to know him and get to say hi to some of the family he sat with. I will always remember him in my heart and will miss seeing him at the games. Gramps you were a gentleman and we shared some little talks. You are now with your Olga who you told me all about.
