On September 20, 2024, Mme. Germaine Amyotte (née Belanger) of St. Paul, Alberta, formerly of Mallaig, passed away at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her children, Real (Irène), Marie Anne (George), Bernard (Shirley), Robert (Susan), Roland (Sue), Joanne (Denis), Jerome (Thérèse), Collette (Chris) & Alfred; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Annette; numerous in-laws & relatives. Germaine was predeceased by her husband, Edouard; parents, Alfred & Marie Anne Belanger; siblings, René, Arthur, George & Diana. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 24 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Andrew Schoenberger will be the celebrant, with interment in St. Jean de Brébeuf Roman Catholic Cemetery, Mallaig.
