Obituary

On December 22, 2021, Mrs. Amelia Bowen of Elk Point passed away at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jim; 6 children, Joanne (Ray) Bodnar of St. Paul, Terry Tookey of Grande Prairie, Kendall (Michelle) Zarowny of Elk Point, Kim (Ron) Campbell of Sherwood Park, Roberta (Glen) Scott of Elk Point & Grant (Erna) Bowen of Red Deer; 11 grandchildren, Clayton, Sean, Amber, Kalley, Sarah, Brett, Ashley, Kennedi, Emily, Colton & Brendan; 10 great-grandchildren, Shayla, Kimber, Amelia, Kaily, Jasmine, Brittni, Liam, Mindy, Kaiden & Lennon; great-great-grandchild, Rose; sister-in-law, Tillie Eliuk; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Bowen was predeceased by her first husband, John Zarowny; 2 brothers, Metro Eliuk & Bill (Mary) Eliuk; 2 sisters, Nancy Eliuk & Rose Shesky. A Private Memorial Service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul with Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Elk Point. Those wishing to view the service online may do so by Livestream on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. by clicking the Live Service tab on our website. A recording of the service will also be made available.
