Obituary

On April 15, 2024, Mrs. Alice Mulkay of Spedden, Alberta passed away at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her 5 sons, Roy (Marie), Wade (Natalie), Jack (Carol), Sid & Poncho (Audrey); daughter, Gail; 20 grandchildren, Dawn (Gilbert), Dayna, Erin (Devon), Kirk, Debbie (Corey), Wanda (Jeremy), Nicolle (Steven), Larissa (Kevin), Michelle (Chad), Kellie, Mackenzie, Katie (Alex), Simone (Darren), Brooke (Nolan), Lacey (Nic), Carrie (Travis), Kristy (Mark), Lindy (Kelley), Ryan & Neil; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Louis (Lillian) Hebert; numerous nieces & nephews. Alice was predeceased by her loving husband, Bob; infant son, Kirk; parents, Simon & Rebecca Hebert; in-laws, Achille & Suzanne Mulkay; siblings, Eva (Charles) Samuel, Madeline (Willie) Harbarenko, Therese (Cliff) Dryden, Cecile Hebert, Louise (Prosper) Theroux, Andre Hebert & Wilfrid Hebert; nieces, Eleanor & Suzanne; nephew, Andy Jr.

Throughout her life, Alice dedicated herself to her family; her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a talented piano player, loved quilting, gardening, sewing, cooking and baking bread that was enjoyed by everyone. Alice loved farming and had a special fondness for spring when calves were born, flowers bloomed, and birds returned to nest. Alice was a beloved wife to Robert Mulkay with whom she shared 49 years of love and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many. Alice will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Private Graveside Service will be held for her immediate family. Alice will be laid to rest in the Ashmont Community Cemetery alongside her husband Bob.
