On June 30, 2024, Sophie Taylor Steinhauer of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 26 years. She is survived by her loving mother, Brenda; 4 brothers, Everett (Shannon), Jordan, Wilfred & Curtis (Morgan); 4 sisters, Brittany, Jessica (Carlos), Shannon & Stephanie; grandfathers, Henry, Arthur “Archie” (Verna) & Robert “Choochoo”; grandmothers, Charlotte Nancy, Lillian, Alvina (Willard), Lorraine (Joe), Lydia, Denise, Violet, Cecile & Marie; aunts, Doreen (Lyle), Charlotte, Noreen, Francy (Clarence), Colleen, Darlene (Gary), Crystal (Doug), Bella (Derek), Elise (Terry), Janet (Cliff), Candace (Leroy), Janine (Leo), Susie (Lionel), Jacqueline, Antoinette (Rob), Sheena & Bonnie; uncles, Leslie, August, Gerald (Phyllis), Kevin (Melissa), Travis, Josh, Tyler (Natasha), Reggie (Melissa), Nicholas, Lionel, Doug (Celestine), Daryl, Julian, Trevor & Terrance; cousins, Kaylee (Jack), Chris, Melanie (Ceejay), Wade (Yarrow), Amanda (David), Telia, Avery (Robin), Layne (Jalissa), Gabby, Shayle, Angel, Alayna, Aaliyah, Alicia, Cashton & Violet; sister bro, Lisa Quinney; & all her other friends who knew & loved her. Sophie was predeceased by her father, Brian Whitford; brother, Derrick; aunt, Vanessa; uncles, Charles, Dennis & Aaron; maternal grandparents, Floyd & Marlene; paternal grandparents, Edward & Eunice; grandfathers, Morton Bruce, Wilfred, Joe, Donald, Henry, Jerry, Raymond & Dwayne; great-parents, Sophie & Joshua Giant; great-great-grandparents, Julian & Antoinette Moses. A Wake will be held on Tuesday (leaving Grace Gardens at 1:00 p.m.) & Wednesday, July 9 & 10 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake, with interment in St. Mathias Roman Catholic Cemetery, Goodfish Lake.
