Mr. Wilson, as I knew him best from his years of teaching and coaching in Heinsburg, was truly a wonderful person. He gave so much to his communities over the years. He will be missed, sending Condolences to all of his family.

Leverne was an amazing man, a great mentor, coach, teacher, principal, and one of the most caring and loving men I have ever known. He will truly be missed by us all.

From: Dennis Wells Wolfe
Relation: Former student/friend

Sincere Condolences to Mr. Wilson’s family. He was my teacher at Heinsburg School 1967-1978. I’m glad we had the opportunity to talk couple years ago at Elk Point Library. With his big smile commented to the Librarian this is Dennis the Mennis my former student and I’m Mr. Wilson.
That was our relationship in school. However we laughed and this gentle giant of a man touched many lives in Frog Lake and Fishing Lake. He will be missed.
For me he will always remain Mr. Wilson.
RIP Mr.Wilson

Uncle Laverne was an amazing person who touched many lives. I will away remember our many fishing trips and family get-togethers. And the time that he rescued us from the bat that flew into the house. A person of Laverne’s kindness and generosity will always be missed

Deepest sympathy to Doris and families. Laverne was a well known and liked person in the community. May your memories bring you comfort

From: Amanda Letestu
Relation: Former student

It was a great pleasure to know Mr. Wilson as a coach, principal and volunteer. During my first solo finish at Iron Horse Ultra I was surprised and excited to see him volunteering at Fort George. Mr Wilson was always so well liked by us as students and respected. I couldn’t have come across a better face during the middle of my race who gave words of encouragement as I went on to finish the course. His life left an impact on many of us. Will miss him greatly.

Relation: Friend of the family.

Doris and family, sincere condolences on the biggest loss of your lives. Laverne was a very jovial person, he always had a comment, a joke, and a smile. May he rest in peacel

From: John & Ann Kostyshyn
Relation: Janet taught our daughter Cindy.

May the precious memories of your loved one be a comfort to all of you. May it help to know that many caring thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. Hugs to all of you.
