I have known Laverne for as long as I can remember. Our fathers worked together on the railroad. Laverne was my teacher. I babysat Janet and Trevor. When Gary and I were dating, Laverne took him aside to ask his intentions like a big brother would do. Laverne was such a caring person with a wonderful smile. Going to miss seeing him out and about. Our condolences to the whole family from Gary and I. There will definitely be an empty hole in your lives.

My deepest sympathy to Laverne’s entire family. He was a very kind and generous man. I have fond memories of swimming lessons at Whitney Lake all those years ago. The residents at the Heritage Lodge thoroughly enjoyed when he took them on country tours. So many memories, he will be deeply missed.
