Obituary
On April 11, 2016, Mr. Dennis Kelley of St. Lina passed away at the age of 60 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Maryann; son, Brian (Cara); grandson, Everett; mother, Clara Kelley; sister, Donna Kelley; brothers, Ken (Mariette) & Richard (Irene); numerous other relatives. He was predeceased by his brother, Norman in 1985 & his father Donald in 2014. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Lina Hall, St. Lina. Pastor Kelly Sibley will be officiating, with inurnment in Union Cemetery, St. Paul. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haying in the 30's (Cancer Support Society) c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1. I’ve known Dennis and Maryann since the late 1980’s when I first started doing their taxes. Harv would run into them at auction sales all the time. Every year I looked forward to our meeting to hear their stories about their farming and personal life. They always came in together and were full of wisdom, advice and humorous stories. From what I’ve seen, they more or less did everything together. They had such a strong marriage and friendship. It’s so tragic that the two of them could not enjoy their golden years together – especially enjoying in the birth of their first grand child. Harv and I will miss hearing Dennis’ booming voice. We send our deepest condolences to Maryann, Brian and the family.
