Obituary
On January 30, 2025, Mr. Norman Cardinal of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly of Saddle Lake, Alberta, passed away at the age of 64 years. He is survived by his children, Falene, Kendall, Vern Crane, Ty Colby Lewis & Darcy Brertton; grandchildren, Rayden, Kay, Aiden, Ajax Blackstar, Keyon, Shay-Lee, Christy Whiskeyjack, Keanu Brertton, Janessa Wood, Casey Moses & Damian Moses; mother of his children, Sharon Brertton; siblings, Cecile, Patricia, Michael, Melvin & Christopher; aunt, Mary O.; uncle, Hank; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Norman was predeceased by his children, Jaylene Cardinal & Stacey Brertton; parents, Raymond & Caroline; siblings, baby Valorie, Lester, Louis, Beatrice, Sandra & John Cardinal, Sabrina Wahsatnow; paternal grandparents, Norris & Isabelle Cardinal; maternal grandparents, James & Mary Louise Desjarlais. A Wake will be held on Saturday (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) & Sunday, February 8 & 9 at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Pastor Linda Burns will be officiating with interment in United Church Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
