Obituary
On August 6, 2023, Mr. Darren Memnook of Goodfish Lake passed away at the age of 20 years. He is survived by his father, Jonathon Memnook; siblings, Farrah, Isaac, Jodie, Lyrics, Angel, Pariz, Poetic, Wapan Memnook, Elizabeth & Genesis Jackson; kokum, Evelyn Memnook; chapan, Veronica Waskahat; grandfather, Kevin Cardinal; aunties, Sonia, Elizabeth & Amelia; uncles, Jordan & Oliver; numerous nieces, nephews & relatives. Darren was predeceased by his mother, Jolene Jackson; grandfather, Johnny Memnook; chapans, Joe Waskahat & Paul (Edith) Memnook; kokum, Susan Jackson. A Wake will be held on Tuesday, August 22 (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake. Relation: I was like a neighbor mom/auntie to him and his sister lyrics.
He was like a son to me and it breaks my heart to hear about his sudden passing. I am still in shock and cherish all the heart to heart talks we had, the laughter and the crying. Baby boy you will be missed but never forgotten. My condolences, love and prayers are with the family, especially Lyrics. She is like a daughter to me and I am praying for her.
